Box with Ball and Tray
This is a Montessori material used to develop hand-eye coordination and teach a child the concept of object permanence – the understanding that objects continue to exist even when they cannot be seen, heard, or otherwise sensed.
This material builds a young child’s confidence as they master the ability to drop the ball into the hole. The sound of the ball dropping is a point of interest and this drives them to repeat the activity over and over again.Â
